A visit with McKenzie

The last weekend of October we had visits from Uncle Brett, Aunt Nut and Kenzie. It was a wonderful weekend even Uncle Bob and Aunt Paula were able to stop by and visit on their way back from DC.

Trick-or-Treating with a zoo!!!

Molly and Macon went trick-or-treating with John Hargis on the 28th!! My monkeys had a blast! Molly was off and running! Once she came running down the drive way "more treats mommy!" and she was off to the next!! Macon much more laid back just took it all in and John just followed Molly. They had such a wonderful time!! Check out that banana too!!!

Molly's Birthday!!

We had Molly's birthday on the 23rd of October. We were lucky enough to find a free weekend where Daddy, Granny, Papaw, Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Eleanor, Rickey, Emilee, Gp and Gamma could all make the trip to visit!!

Molly had a Nemo themed party. Fully of decor, aquatic foods, and of course a Nemo cupcake creation! Lots of mommy and daddy creativity went into the party and it was such a great time!!

Molly's Nemo cake.. she shared her birthday withe Uncle Ronnie (who has the same birthday) and GP who's birthday is just 3 days later!!

Molly enjoying opening presents!

Princess Tiana!! Thanks Miss Liz and Mr. Colin

She is REALLY into "my girls" the princesses and waiting desperately to see Toy Story 3 again!!! She continues to LOVE school although her teachers told me that she is VERY shy and they have trouble getter her to talk and even stand up for herself!! Really????? HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!!

First Day of School

Such the poser!

Ready to go.... when did she get SO big!!

The hook!
Molly started school in September. She LOVES it, but really there isn't anything that Molly doesn't love!!! She was so excited to use her new backpack and put in on her hook, as she told me time and time again. Aaron was able to go to school to drop her off and she ran into her room and didn't look back. She asks everyday as we are walking out if she can go back and has great stories to tell about what they did each day!!

We went to Fola, WV for a Workman family reunion in September. It was great to see Grandma Workman with SO many generations!! They got to great great grandchildren, most of which were older Molly! Molly LOVED the day. As Aaron says the hills are the babysitter in the hollar! I didn't see much of Macon as he was the pass around baby. For much of Aaron's family this was the first meeting of Macon.

School's In

With Penn State back in action Aaron is back to a fairly normal schedule, lots of early mornings and lots of recruiting calls but home :) And we all appreicate that! We have been having a super month! Molly is potty trained and doing a fantastic job!! So proud of her! Hopefully Macon will be easier, or maybe I'll just be more laid back when it comes to him! We have been walking all over State College! It is such a beautiful town and so walkable, thanks to my bike trailer that doubles as a stroller!! Awesome... we spent one morning walking in the PSU arboritium where there were beautiful flowers and Molly's fountian, as she calls it.

Punkin patch and stuff!!!

We have had a great fall!! We have been very busy on the weekends and during the week too!! Since my last post we have really gotten into the PSU tailgating swing. We have a super group of friends that we tailgate with for the games. Lots of yummy food and enough activity to keep Molly very busy!! Molly and Macon both went to thier first PSU game for the home opener. Molly LOVED the band and watching football. Macon was just same old Mr. Laid Back.  We will not be taking the kids to anymore games now that we realize that we have to pay for Macon to be in my chest carrier!! Love you kid... but not enough to buy you a ticket!! hahah.

Molly, Macon and I have spent some good time doing some nice long walks around our house to many parks, and around campus. One of the many perks of living in a true college town! It is so beauiful out right now the leaves are changing and the past couple of days have been in the 70s, really spoiling us northern folk.

Last weekend Molly, Macon and I went back to Pittsburgh to visit with the whole fam, visit Shenots Pumpkin patch, and the Jen, Jess and I ran in an adventure race in Morgantown, WV. An adventure race is a combination of running, biking and canoeing along with physical and mental tasks. We had such a great time despite the weather and finished first in the all female division. Not bad for some rookies!! We are looking for another race soon! We had a great cheering section!!

The pumpkin patch, of course, was a blast! Molly loved trying to find the smallest, and cleanest pumpkin(don't know where she gets that!!) that she could and running through the corn maze. We found the perfect one and brought it back to State College to share with Daddy.

Macon is our Mr. Slow and steady. He is 7 1/2mos old and quite the army crawler. At this point Molly was climbing in and out of everything and couldn't be stopped. Macon not quite. He too just isn't that interested in eating. We get one good breakfast in a day, but the other food we are lucky for a few bites. We go back to the doctor tomorrow just to check his weight gain. But he continues to be super happy and just a wonderful baby!!

Molly's Swimming and such!

Today we spent some quality time at our neighborhood pool before the end of season. We wanted to get some of Molly's swimming on tape as she now does some "big arms" out of the water and today we even convinced her to try the diving board... and once she started she couldn't get enough of it.. again mommy again.. enjoy the shows!!

Big girl!

I don't want to jump the gun but molly has been diaperless during the day for over a week now. It was her decision when she was gonna be done and she really wanted a backpack so that she can go to school!! Thank goodness to.. just in the nick of time we start school in 2 weeks!!! Way to go Molly!!!!

Macon is 6 mos old!!

Macon is 6mos old and doing great!!! He weighed in at 16lbs 9oz and 27inches long. He is really strong and getting around by rolling and grabbing!! He just started sitting up really well and continues to just be such a happy guy.  We haven't started on solids quite yet. He isn't really showing interest in food.

Our Summer Family Vacation

Aaron was SO busy this summer recruiting that we were able to squeeze in a small vacation right before PSU got into swing again. Aaron arrived home at 2am from Hungary and at noon the next day we were packed and heading to Allegheny National Forest for some camping fun with Jen, Brett, Kenzie, Jess and Rich. Mom and Dad were able to join us for a couple nights too. It was such a fun vacation. We had a wonderful walk in site right on the water!!! Molly was in it all the time and who knew that throwing rocks could entertain a child for hours!!! We went on a true hike on Wednesday threw many different types of forests and were tested on following the trail!! A great time :)

Thursday we did a day road trip to Niagara Falls. I hadn't been there since I was rea
lly young so I didn't really remember it. It was truely spectacular!! So beautiful but I'm not gonna lie really scary too. Especially with Molly.... but the sights were amazing. We even did Maid of the Mist and it was great. Molly was not a fan and told us "all done mommy" when asked why she said " no like rocking boat" Guess she doesn't have her sea legs!!

The Fam enjoying Niagara Falls

Enjoying the Falls on Maid of the Mist
But the highlight for me personally was that Molly decided that on Friday was the day to be potty trained... when the potties were 200yds away and the laterines non the less!! So there we were running her up and down the hill!!! Such a funny girl! It was on her terms!  A great vacation!! We are even trying to plan a camping vacation to Acadia National Park for next summer!

Happy Anniversary!!

6 years!!
Enjoying the Inner City Harbor
Aaron surprised me for our 6th anniversary and took me to baltimore for a night! Jen and Brett watched the kids for us so we could really get away!! We spent a great day touring the city, eating all the great food and enjoying the beautiful sites. The next morning Jen, Brett and the kids joined us for lunch at Hard Rock and then touring the Balitimore Aquarium. Molly loved it. More fish... More fish. It was a great little getaway!!

This was aaron's creative gift.....6 years is steel and candy. So he filled a pant can with my favorite candy's and put wine in it to look like a chiller... my hubby is so creative :)

Macon Enjoying the Dock with Gamma
What a wonderful weekend we had at the end of July at Aunt Maddy, Uncle Ray and Sadie Puppy Dog's Lake house :) Aaron had a couple days before he headed out on a whirl wind recruting trip so we met the rest of the Siegeles at DCL. It was fabulous!! Thursday we biked at Ohio Pyle and the kids did so well. We spent the rest of the weekend boating, fishing, eating and relaxing. Molly loved the fishing and even ventured out on the boat and went tubbing. She was OK with it but I bet next year we will have trouble keeping her away!!! Thanks to the McClintocks for a great weekend!

Molly loved swimming on the dock. She would wake up at 7am and ask to go swimming!

Our coppertone baby loved being outside all weekend!

Our Trip with the Herrings to Connecticut!

The Creamery

We had the most fabulous week last week!!! We went on vacation, just kids and mommies, with the Herring clan to Connecticut! Our daddy was of course out of town again so it seemed like the perfect thing to do! The Herrings came into town on Monday and we spent some time at our pool, Cannon loved the slide! And then of course every visitor has to make the trip to the Creamery!!! We packed the kids up bright and early Tuesday morning and set out for Easton, PA and the Crayola Crayon Factory. The kids had a ball and no trip there is complete with out the Canal Museum!! LOL.... But Danielle and I both decided that a better name would be the Crayola "Craft Center" been there, done that, don't need to do it again!!

Crayola

After lunch we headed for CT. Of course my dear friend felt the need to take me over one of the world's scariest bridges, the GW bridge into Manhattan, and that is where our 2hour trip from Crayola to CT turned into a 4 hour trip!! Yikes!!! The kids were troopers... only had to stop in the Bronx to feed makes. Danielle and I were dying of laughter!!!  Probably not the best part to pull over with a car load full of kids!!

The Workmans, Justin, and the Herrings
Wednesday was a trip to NYC!!! I LOVED it. I am a city girl.  I need to bring Aaron back and really explore. We met up with our good friend from elemtary school and high school team mate, Justin Tarquino. We told the kids that they could call him many things. But once they heard that they could meet Tarq the Shark, that was it. They were sold! We ate on Mars and the kids loved it!! Molly may not have been too sure about the aliens, but that's what Grandma Goetz's lap is for! We then toured Times Square, Toy's R Us, and Rockafeller Center. Molly loved seeing "her girls" at Toys R Us and riding the ferris wheel! She did such a great job and Macon was such a good boy, like always!  To top off a super day the kids went slip n sliding!! They LOVED it!! and if walkign NYC didn't tire them out enough... that sure as heck did!!!

Times Square
Thursday was a relaxing day at Grandma Goetz's beach!! The kids got burried, played in the water, ate ice cream and fought like only brother and sister can!!! They totally have a love hate relationship. One minute they are fighting like cats and dogs the next they are "where's my cannnon?" To reload our tanks we went out for an awesome pizza dinner! Molly ate 4 pieces.. yes 4!!! I ate 2 to put it in perspecitive for you Pap Pap (Danielle's dad) ate 3. The girl loves her pizza!!!

Friday we headed home. The kids were great! And dead tired!!hahaha.. The babies and Molly took some really good naps and Cannon was on his IPod.. Overall and FANTASTIC vacation!!!

How many pieces did she eat!!!!?

Siting the the hog!
